Meet Richard Genera
A born and raised El Pasoan, Richard has deep roots in District 5 as a graduate of El Dorado High School and UTEP who has spent the last several years organizing in his community -Â actively registering new voters, organizing community aid projects, and educating fellow El Pasoans on the importance and accessibility of participating in local politics. He is ready to bring that experience to District 5; to rebuild trust and show that our local government can work for us.

Rebuild trust with a AAA roadmap
Regardless of what the issue is: Property Taxes, Traffic, a Data Center nobody wants, it all gets treated the same. Everything gets put through this cycle that ends with answers or results being delivered to my constituents consistently.
"How is this decision making my constituent's lives more affordable?" will be the first lens I view every action as a City Representative through.Â

Affordability
Accountability
With weekly community meetings and District 5 led and organized Citizen Committees - District 5 constituents will have the most responsive and engaged City Council Rep they've ever seen.
Action
Once we work together to build a plan on tackling any issue - it's my time to deliver. That means asking questions, identifying solutions, and delivering results.
